Conmaco can design and build a Hoist for any application.  We can also modify and/or rebuild existing equipment to meet your requirements.  A few examples include winches for Tower Erection, Pipeline Pulls, Cable Spooling Machines, Barge Moving Systems, and Abandonment and Recovery (A&R) Winches.

 

This DMW-250 Single Drum Winch was completely reconditioned and repowered to perform Abandonment and Recovery service on a Pipe laying Barge in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Amcon JU-36 utilizes a diesel driven closed loop hydraulic power unit to provide precise load lowering control.

The closed loop hydraulic system of the JU-36 is ideally suited for load lowering and load positioning.  The operator directly controls the amount of fluid flowing from the hydraulic pump and therefore the speed of the hoist from the hydraulic joystick.  The hydraulic motor automatically selects the maximum speed that it can operate based on the load that is being raised or lowered. 
This feature allows the hoist to use the full horsepower of the diesel engine and therefore maximizing efficiency.  Equal performance is delivered for raising or lowering loads.  The hydraulic oil is cooled by a generously sized shell and tube heat exchanger that is plumbed into the diesel cooling circuit.  The following tables show the winch performance.  The first table shows the maximum line pull and associated speed for that line pull at each layer.  The second table shows the maximum line speed and the associated line pull at that speed at each layer.  The data was calculated using 1.5" wire rope

CONMACO 045
CONMACO'S Engineering department can custom design hoists tailored to your specific needs.  The CONMACO 045 is a double drum waterfall powered by a diesel engine with a power shift transmission.  Typical applications are anchor duty and steel erection.

The Conmaco Cable Spooler uses a diesel/hydraulic power train to enable the user to apply tension when installing wire rope on winches and cranes.  The drum can hold up to 11,600 feet of two inch wire rope.

 

 


TOWER ERECTION HOISTS
Using state-of-the-art electronic and hydraulic components these hoists can be custom designed to meet any application, from the tallest towers requiring a large spooling capacity to the basic units used for handling guy lines.  Single, double, or triple drum configurations are available with remote power units that incorporate sound proofing insulation for quieter operation.

HOIST MONITORING SYSTEM:

The hoist monitoring system displays the diesel engine parameters as well as hook speed, parts of line, and amount of line payed out.  Audible and visible alarms are activated if certain parameters are out of range.  The system also includes an anti-two block function and a line-speed-limiter function.

HOIST:

The hydraulic hoists are configured in a double drum waterfall arrangement allowing both drums to be used simultaneously.  The lower drum is personnel rated.

POWER UNIT:

The power unit consists of a 210 hp Caterpillar engine direct driving the hydraulic pump.  The power unit is housed in a sound-proofed enclosure and the engine has an industrial exhaust silencer to minimize noise.  Engine controls and monitoring are located in the door in the power unit.

OPERATOR'S PLATFORM:

The removable operator's platform contains the adjustable seat, joystick control boxes with engine throttle control, and touch screen hoist monitoring display.

Each hoist is equipped with a smooth spring applied hydraulic release multi-disc wet brake capable of holding 150% of the rated load.  Personnel rated hoists have an additional brake valve capable of holding 150% of the rated load.  External band brakes and ratchet and pawl are also available.

The AMCON Model 385 HDS is one of CONMACO/RECTOR L.P.'s most versatile winches.  This constant horsepower, rugged, closed-loop hydraulic winch is designed not only for mooring applications, but is ideal for hoisting and load-lowering applications.  By utilizing a double hydraulic motor (two motor groups in one housing), the winch has a greater speed range than other hydraulic winches.  Also, a separate power unit, able to be located up to 50 feet away, allows this winch to fit into places where other winches cannot.

Drum Brake
The winch has parking brake and service brake features which actuate an external-contracting, band-type brake on the drum.  The parking brake is spring-applied and air-released, while the service brake is air-applied and spring-released. Holding capacity 1st layer: 150,000 lbs.
Drum Clutch
The drum is equipped with a single air-actuated, internal-expanding type clutch.  The clutch is rated for the full drum torque and when disengaged, will allow the drum to free spool
